Account Deletion Request
Your Privacy Matters
At Beacon of New Beginnings, we understand that survivors may need to delete their account for safety or privacy reasons. We make this process as simple and secure as possible.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed:
- Your personal profile information (name, email, phone number)
- Account credentials and login information
- Your messages and communications history
- Service requests and appointment records
- App preferences and settings
- Any photos or documents you've uploaded
⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you're uncertain, consider logging out instead of deleting your account.
What We Keep (Legal Requirements)
For legal and safety reasons, we may retain certain information:
- Anonymous usage statistics (no personal identifiers)
- Records required by law enforcement or court orders
- Financial transaction records (for donations, if applicable)
These records are kept securely and are not linked to your identity after deletion.
Deletion Timeline: Your account and data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your request. During this period, you can contact us to cancel the deletion if you change your mind.
How to Delete Your Account
Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Open the Beacon of New Beginnings app
- Go to Settings or Profile
- Tap on "Account Settings"
- Select "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision
- You'll receive a confirmation email
Method 2: Email Request
Send an email to support@beaconnewbeginnings.org with:
- Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
- The email address or phone number associated with your account
- Reason for deletion (optional, but helps us improve)
We will respond within 48 hours to confirm your request.

Method 3: Phone Request (For Urgent Cases)
If you need immediate account deletion for safety reasons:
- Call our 24/7 Crisis Hotline: [Emergency Number]
- Tell our staff you need urgent account deletion
- Provide verification information
- Your account will be deleted immediately

- Privacy concerns? We can adjust your settings without deletion
- Safety concerns? We can temporarily deactivate your account
After Deletion
Once your account is deleted:
- You will no longer have access to the app
- You will stop receiving notifications
- Your data will be removed from our active systems
- You can create a new account anytime if needed
